Uji Kompetensi Guru 2015 (how you do the test)

Several hours before I was at computer laboratory of SMP 2 Pati. Together with some other teachers doing a test called UKG, Uji Kompetensi Guru. Although I just became a teacher for 4 months, the procedure require me to do the test just like any other 'senior' teacher. The test is kind of 'a must' for all teacher who teach in Indonesia.

I was registered as English teacher of Senior High School. I came to the pointed location before
8 a.m., bringing a piece of paper as a participant card. There are participant number, your name, your subject, time and place of the test printed on it. You also required to attach 4x3 photo and put a signature on the down-right side of the paper.

Before we started the test, we should login using participant and validation number that were printed in the test card. After that we were asked to do the theory test and survey question. Survey questions are all same to all teacher, which consist of 21 question about teacher and school environment. But total for the basic test was different for each subject.

The test will show one by one in sequence number. Each question will be followed by four answer to choose. Click the right answer and continue to the next question by clicking right-head arrow. Or another option is by using keyboard. Press key "A" if you want to answer "A" and so for the other answer. Press space button to continue to the next question.

Just skip the question if you feel difficult to define the answer. You can come back to the question by clicking the number in a red square on the right side of the screen. For another square with green, means that you already answer the question on that number.

You will be given two hours to complete the test. The countdown timer can be seen at the top-right corner. After finish all the question click on hand button. The score of your test result will directly seen on your screen. It is consist of true and false score, each for pedagogic and theory. The next step is completing 21 survey. And you done with it. The score is not the final result. We should wait the announcement from the Education Departement. What should the teacher do next? We wait and see. ;)
